“The Gift of Hands”
Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:6

“Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.”

Devotion:
God has placed something uniquely powerful within your hands. In 2 Timothy 1:6, Paul reminds Timothy to stir up—to rekindle, to fan into flame—the gift God deposited in him. Your hands may seem ordinary, but when yielded to God, they become instruments of purpose. The hands that work, serve, comfort, cook, clean, write, create, protect, build, and encourage—those hands carry divine potential. God reminds you today:

Use your hands again.
Work your gift again.
Serve with passion again.
Create, bless, build, and offer again.

The “gift of hands” is not just what you can do—it’s what God can do through you. Your touch, your labor, your service, your compassion—these can spark healing, hope, and transformation in someone’s life. Stir it up. God placed something valuable in you, and the world needs what your hands carry.

Prayer:
Lord, Thank You for the gifts You have placed within me. Ignite the fire of purpose in my heart and empower my hands to do the work You’ve called me to do. Let my hands be instruments of love, service, healing, and excellence. Use me for Your glory, Lord. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
