“Grace in Times of Trouble”
Scripture: 1 Peter 5:10 (NIV)

“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.”

Devotion:
I don’t know about you, but I am so very glad that trouble doesn’t last always. We know that in this walk we will have wilderness and valley experiences, but God is faithful and just to bring us out.

In today’s scripture, Peter is acknowledging that suffering is going to come. Nevertheless, that suffering is only temporary. God, in due time, will restore and strengthen His people. Suffering doesn't feel good, and it definitely isn't anything you would sign up for on your own. However, we know that as Christians, it is something we will endure.

If you have ever gone through anything in this life that you thought would break you, and you survived. Then you not only know about God’s delivering power, but you also know that when you pass the test of faith, God will bring you out stronger and better than you were when you went into the battle. Take a few minutes today and give God the praise if you made it out all right!

Prayer:
God, thank You for bringing us through every test and tribulation. Thank You for giving us Your strength and greater faith for the journey. Amen.
