“Settling Grace”
Scripture: 1 Peter 5:10

“But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.”

Devotion:
Life often brings seasons of difficulty, uncertainty, and suffering. And we often find ourselves feeling as though everything is upside down. Peter is letting us know today that God knows what we are going through and He is working on our behalf. Peter calls Him “the God of all grace” which means every kind of grace we need comes from Him. That includes settling grace. When life is lifing, and we are “suffering for a while”, He knows. He is working.

In the next part of the Scripture comes the great news - He will make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you - all promises from God. God uses our trials to mature our faith, establish us in His truth, strengthen our character and settle out hearts in His peace. Settling grace is the grace that settles our heart when life is going awry. Trust in the Lord, He is working every season and His grace not only saves and sustains - it settles.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for being the God of Grace.  Fulfill Your promise in my life—perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle me. Help me rely on Your grace rather than my own strength. Let Your grace steady my heart and guide my life each day. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
