“What does Your Fruit Say?”
 Scripture: Luke 6:43
 
“For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.”

Devotion:
Jesus’ Words in this verse communicates that what is inside of us will always show up on the outside. Just as a healthy tree will naturally produce good fruit, a heart that is rooted and grounded in Christ will reflect His character through our words, how we treat others and the way we handle situations in our lives.

If we live our lives with bitterness, pride, or fear in our hearts, it will point to areas where our hearts need healing and deliverance. But when our hearts are nourished by God’s Word, prayer, and obedience, the fruit becomes obvious. We bring out love, patience, kindness, humility, and self-control.

This verse is an invitation for us to honestly examine our lives. So, instead of focusing only on correcting our outward appearance and actions, Jesus calls us to work on the root, our relationship with Him. When the root is right, we will experience that the right fruit will follow. Let’s allow Him to transform us from the inside out. We will become healthier Christians and display true spiritual growth when our hearts are right!

Prayer:
Lord, search our hearts and reveal anything that is not pleasing to You. We ask that You heal what is broken within us and help us to stay rooted in Your truth. Produce in us fruit that reflects Your love and brings You glory and honor. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
