“Stay Connected to Christ”
 Scripture: John 15:7
 
“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”

Devotion:
To abide in Christ means to remain, dwell, and stay connected to Him daily, not occasionally. It is living our lives in His presence, guided by His Word, and shaped by His will.  When God’s Word abides in us, it begins to change our desires and shift our prayers from being self-focused requests to prayers that line up with the heart of Christ.

Abiding with Christ requires us to be intentional about the time we spend reading the Word, praying, being obedient, trusting God and Loving our neighbor. As we remain in Christ, our faith grows, our discernment sharpens, and our confidence in prayer strengthens. God is glorified when our prayers flow from a heart surrendered to Him. Let’s start this New Year, 2026, by making sure we stay connected to Him and work toward accomplishing the tasks and responsibilities that He has assigned to us!

Prayer:
Father, help us to abide in You daily. Let Your Word live richly within us, shaping our thoughts, desires, and prayers. Align our hearts with Your will so that what we ask reflects Your purpose. Help us to remain in You and bear fruit that glorifies You! In Jesus’ name, Amen.
