“Freedom is Here”
Scripture: Jonah 2:9, NIV

“But I, with shouts of grateful praise, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. I will say, ‘Salvation comes from the Lord.’”

Devotion:
Jonah’s prayer from the belly of the fish is raw, honest, and full of revelation. After running from God, he finds himself in the depths—literally and spiritually. Yet even there, he chooses praise. Jonah realizes that salvation isn’t something he can earn or escape—it’s a gift from God alone. His vow to follow through is a turning point, a moment of surrender and renewed purpose.

• What does it mean to declare “salvation comes from the Lord” in your own life?
• Is there a vow or commitment you’ve made to God that needs renewing today?

Today’s Challenge:
Reflect on a time when God rescued you—physically, emotionally, or spiritually. Write a short note of gratitude or share your story with someone who needs hope today.

Prayer:
Lord, even in the depths, You hear me. Thank You for Your mercy and grace. Help me to respond with praise, to honor my commitments, and to trust that salvation is always in Your hands. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
