"The God Who Sees and Saves"
Scripture: Ezekiel 16:6

"And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live."

Devotion:
Ezekiel 16:6 paints a vivid picture of God’s compassion and mercy toward His people. In this chapter, God uses the metaphor of an abandoned newborn to illustrate Israel's spiritual condition. The child, left to die in an open field, represents Israel—forsaken, helpless, and without hope.

But God, in His infinite love, does not abandon them. He passes by, sees their dire state, and speaks life into them. The phrase "I said to you, 'Live!'" is a powerful reminder that God's mercy is not just about seeing our pain, but about intervening to rescue and restore us.
This verse also speaks to us personally. How many times have we felt abandoned or overwhelmed by our circumstances, like that helpless child? Yet, in those moments, God sees us. He does not pass us by. He reaches out, breathes life into us, and brings us back from the brink of despair.

No matter how deep our struggles, God's love is deeper still. He sees us in our brokenness and says, "Live!" His word is life-giving, sustaining us through every trial.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for seeing me in my times of need and speaking life into my situation. I am grateful for Your mercy and compassion that never fail. Help me to remember that You are always near, ready to save and restore. In Jesus' name, Amen.
