"I Believe"

Matthew 21:22
“ 22  And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Devotional:
Jesus’ promises to His disciples are also His promises to you and I, if we practice things
that are pleasing in His sight. God desires more from us than just the appearance of
faith, but that we will look at the impossible and believe that He can make it possible.
The word says to ask, so we cannot be afraid to ask for what we need Him to do for us.
Try Him and see how He answers us when we ask Him to heal us or our loved ones
from sickness, diseases, depression, the heavy burdens that we often carry. Our trust in
Him will show when we learn to wait on Him as Abraham waited on the promise of His
son. His answers may not come when we want them to, but believe that they will be on
time. We must speak those things that are not as though they were. Yes, even when
others do not understand how we are able to have faith, we must continue to stand on
what we believe. The enemy will send anyone to try to get us not to believe and to give
up hope. Remember He wants us to trust in Him and in Him alone.

When Jesus’ disciples asked Him in the previous scripture how He could cause the fig tree that bore no fruit to wither away just by speaking to it; He answered them by saying, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, if you have faith [personal trust and confidence in Me] and do not doubt or allow yourself to be drawn in two directions, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen [if God wills it].” (Matthew 21:21 AMP)

Let us exercise this strong faith today. Seek God through prayer for the things you need
and desire. Paul wrote about Abraham’s strong faith in Romans chapter 4 and 4:21 he
says, “And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to
perform.” We must pray to God, study and obey His word, believe His word and trust in
His word, for it is the truth.

Prayer:
Dear God, we are so grateful that we can ask for anything in your name and receive it. I
ask today that you will continue to take away all doubt and cause us to believe that if
you said it, it would come to pass. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
