He did not speak those words in defeat; they were words of victory. He had completed the work His Father sent Him to accomplish. He willingly endured suffering, rejection, and death so that you and I could be reconciled to God and have the hope of eternal life.

As believers, we can rejoice because our salvation does not depend on our ability to earn God’s love or work our way into His favor. Christ paid the price in full. His finished work reminds us that there is nothing we can add to what Jesus accomplished for our redemption. We are here to receive His grace, trust His finished work, walk faithfully in obedience to Him, and spread the Gospel.

Even when we feel all alone, our prayers seem unanswered, or burdens remain heavy, we can confidently place our total trust in the Lord. Just as He completed the greatest work of all on the cross, He will also complete that finished work in our lives. It is up to us to cast our cares on Him. Remember, Jesus carried the physical weight of the cross and the spiritual weight of our sins so that we do not have to carry the heavy burdens alone.

Walk in faith and confidence, proclaiming that we are victorious because Jesus paid it all!

Prayer:
Father, we thank You for the finished work of Christ on the cross. Thank You for the sacrifice He willingly made for us. Help us to remember that when we face trials, struggles, and uncertainty, we can trust in what You have already accomplished through Christ. Give us the strength to release our burdens, surrender our worries, and place our complete confidence in our Savior. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Jesus bore our sins in His body on the cross so that we could die to sin and live for righteousness. He took it upon Himself to bear what you and I deserved, and He gave us what we could never earn. His wounds, grace, mercy and forgiveness brought us spiritual healing and paved the way so that we could be reconciled with the Father.

The cross was not simply an act of suffering; it was an act of love and obedience. Jesus willingly laid down His life so that we could be set free from the power and penalty of sin. What a blessing to know that our past does not have to define our future when we truly place our lives in the Father’s hands.

Let’s not forget that Jesus bore our sins so that we could live a new life in Him. It is by His stripes that we are healed. His sacrifice calls us to a changed life as born-again believers. Through the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, we have turned away from sin and are called to live righteously before Him.

Let His sacrifice motivate you to become more obedient, give grace to others, and stay committed to living for Him.

Prayer:
Father, we thank You for Jesus, who willingly bore our sins on the cross. Help us to die to sin daily and live according to Your righteousness. Give us the strength to resist temptation and the wisdom to make choices that honor You. May our lives reflect gratitude for the sacrifice Christ made for us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

But the vessel that he was making from clay was spoiled by the potter’s hand; so he made it over, reworking it and making it into another pot that seemed good to him. Then the word of the Lord came to me: “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter does?” says the Lord. “Look carefully, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel.”

Devotion:
Jeremiah 18:1–6 gives us a beautiful picture of God as the Potter and us as the clay. Just as the potter works the clay on the wheel, so also does God work with us. In this work, we often falter or stumble or become spoiled; however, the Potter does not throw us away, He simply reshapes us into another vessel. What a powerful reminder of God’s patience and sovereignty. We see our mistakes, disappointments, and trials, but today’s Scripture should remind us that we are always in the Potter’s Hands - being shaped and reshaped into vessels of honor unto Him.

As the clay, we should yield to the work of the Potter. Even when we don’t know where He is taking us or what He has in store for us, remember that God’s plan for us is always good. God may be reshaping areas in your life right now and while it may not be comfortable on the wheel, just know that when the process is complete, you will be a vessel of honor, representing the Potter well. We cannot see what God is making us into; we only know that He loves us and will take that lump and turn it into something beautiful if we only trust Him.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for keeping me on the wheel. Shape me and mold me and make me into Your vessel of honor. Help me to remember that You are always working for my good and help me to remain humble in the process. I trust You even when I don’t know what the outcome will be. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

Devotion:
The Day of Pentecost was a day to remember. The disciples had witnessed the death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus. It also reminds us that the finished work of Christ does not mean the end of God's work in us—it is the foundation for the Spirit's work through us. Jesus told the disciples to wait for the promise of the Father - the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit came, everything changed. They were empowered for purpose.

Today, remember the finished work and the power of the Holy Spirit. God never intended for us to walk this walk alone - which is why He sent the Comforter! Remember, you don’t have to depend on your own ability. The Holy Spirit has been given to help, guide, strengthen, teach, and empower you.

The work is finished. The promise has been given. The Spirit has come. Now walk in His power.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the finished work and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Thank You that I have a guide, a Comforter to help me live out the purpose You have set before me. Help me to continue to let the Holy Spirit lead and remove anything that hinders Your work. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Life sometimes can have us on a roller coaster - work, family, church, friends - that we may lose focus on what God has done for us. Psalm 103 reminds us to take a moment to remember. I’m reminded of the movie, “The Lion King” where, in a cloud and at his weakest moment, Simba is reminded by his father, to “remember who you are.” There won’t be a cloud or a relative that has gone on, but stop and take a moment to remember the work that has been done for you.

David goes on to list all the good things about knowing God: forgiveness, healing, redemption, love, compassion and satisfaction are but a few of the bountiful blessings in store for us. These blessings come from Christ’s redemptive work on the Cross. When we think on the finished work of Christ, our perspective should change and we should realize that even at the lowest point, it has already been dealt with by Jesus. We can rest in His finished work and praise Him not only for what He is going to do, but also for what He has done.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the finished work of Christ. Help me in my low times to remember what You have already done. Keep me secure in knowing that my future in Jesus is all I need. Teach me to remember Your goodness, Your mercy, Your faithfulness, Your finished work. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Jesus is reflecting over the assignment He has been given and states that God is glorified in His ministry. What a powerful example. Jesus did not try to be everything to everyone or accomplish every single task known to man - He simply focused on the work given to Him by God and was intentional, obedient, and completely surrendered to this work.

We may often think that the work given to us by God is boring or not as glamourous as others, but today, I want to encourage you to buckle down, focus, and completely immerse yourself in what God has placed on your plate. He has a specific calling just for you. Each person has a specific purpose in the Kingdom. Don’t be found trying to do someone else’s work and leave your work undone. Instead of comparing ourselves to others, start glorifying God for your purpose. You are special and each part of the body is vital to its function. You don't have to finish someone else's work. You don't have to live someone else's calling. Be faithful to yours.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the purpose You have placed within me. Forgive me for seeking to measure up to others instead of faithfully carrying out the responsibility You have entrusted to me. Help me to remember my purpose when times get rough and to trust You in all that I do. Remind me that obedience is better than sacrifice. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

When we hear that phrase, we often think of it being the ending of something. In today’s Scripture, it is only the beginning. Jesus came down, became the sacrifice in our place, and rose again with all power over sin and death. We could have never done it on our own as we were doomed to die because of sin, but Jesus stepped in and paid that price in our place. His sacrifice reconciled us back to God and washed away our sin.

Once - that was all it took for Jesus to do what we could never do. It only took one trip to the cross, one trip to the grave, one resurrection to deliver my soul. For all - that one sacrifice opened the door for me to live in eternity for all time. That one day opened the door for the rest of my days. When you feel like all hope is lost, when you feel like you can’t make it through life’s storms, remember this one thing: His sacrifice was once for all—complete, sufficient, and final.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for sending Jesus to take my place. There is a saying that talks about everybody, somebody, anybody and nobody - thinking someone will do it can sometimes cause us to be slow to act or not act at all; but God wants us to be compassionate. When we see a need, we are to fill a need.

Compassion doesn’t begin in our pockets; it begins in our hearts. When we have the love of God in our hearts, it is not a chore to give. We become willing vessels - ready, willing and able - to give. We give because we know God has given to us and we want to reciprocate that love to others. All we have comes from Him and all that He asks is for us to open our hearts to others when He gives us the chance. There may be someone around you who is in need. Take the time today to see the need and fill the need.

Do not harden your heart. Do not close your hand. Let God's love flow through you.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for blessing me with everything I have. Thank You for continuously providing my needs. Help me today to recognize the needs around me and bless me to be able to fill those needs. Open my heart and allow Your love to flow through me, so that I can be a blessing to those I come into contact with. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

He desires a life that reflects His love through our actions. Today’s Scripture reminds us not to neglect doing good and sharing. In a world so focused on individualism, God is calling us to look beyond our own selves to the needs of others. He has placed us in positions to bless others. Some often think that doing good means some grand gesture, but that is simply not so. A kind word, an encouraging message, helping someone in need, giving generously, or simply being present for someone who is hurting can become an offering to God. Our giving is an act of worship unto the Lord - not the person we give it to.

The Scripture calls these actions sacrifices. Doing good often comes at a cost - time, money, or comfort - yet God sees every sacrifice as precious and pleasing to Him. Look around you and see where you can help someone in need. Let your faith become visible in your sacrifice. When you do so, the Bible says, “God is pleased.”

Prayer:
Lord, thank you for reminding me that my sacrifice is an act of worship unto You. Help me to not miss the opportunities You have placed before me and to give with grace whatever is needed of me. Let my actions please You so that I can be a blessing to all I encounter. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

God tells the people to observe His Sabbaths and reverence His sanctuary, and He will bless them with a good harvest.

Throughout our lives, we go through different seasons. Some seasons come to test our faith, some seasons come to grow us, and some seasons come to help us rely on God more. Whatever season we face, our obedience to God has to be our focal point. How long we stay in those seasons is often determined by our obedience and trust in God. It’s easy to serve God when everything is going our way, but can we serve Him through the hard seasons of our lives? God wants us to get to a place of faith and security in Him so that no matter what we face, we love Him enough to obey His will and purpose for our lives.

Prayer:
Lord, help me be obedient to You in every area of my life. Help me follow Your will and purpose in all things. Strengthen me and keep me daily and help me serve You with my entire heart. Amen.

In each instance of trouble, the people cry out to God for help, and He delivers them. After their deliverance, the people praised and thanked God. God brought the people out of a desolate, dry place into a place flowing with springs of water. He allowed them to have a fruitful harvest.

God is more than able to give us a fruitful harvest when we place our faith and trust in Him. That doesn’t mean we treat God like an ATM, constantly making withdrawals. However, it means that we love God enough to serve Him with our entire hearts, and we trust Him to supply all our needs. The Word of God lets us know we reap what we sow; therefore, we have to make sure that what we sow is what we want to reap. What am I sowing? How often am I sowing? Am I sowing love? Am I sowing peace? Harvest time is coming, and we want to make sure we are rooted and grounded in God so that we can bear much fruit.

Prayer:
Lord, help me sow faithfully and obediently, and please let Your will be done in my life forever. Amen.
